Find answers to common queries about our hyperbaric oxygen therapy, services, and what you can expect from our solutions.

What is Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy (HBOT)?

Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy (HBOT) is a medical treatment that enhances the body’s natural healing processes by inhaling 100% oxygen in a pressurized chamber. This increases oxygen levels in the blood, promoting faster healing.

What conditions can HBOT treat?

Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy (HBOT) treats various conditions by delivering pure oxygen in a pressurized chamber. It is effective for:

  1. Decompression Sickness: Treats divers’ “bends.”
  2. Carbon Monoxide Poisoning: Rapidly clears carbon monoxide from the blood.
  3. Wound Healing: Speeds up the healing of chronic wounds like diabetic ulcers.
  4. Radiation Injuries: Repairs tissue damage post-radiation therapy.
  5. Infections: Fights severe infections, including necrotizing fasciitis.
  6. Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI): Supports recovery and cognitive function.
  7. Skin Grafts: Enhances graft and flap survival by improving oxygenation.

HBOT continues to be researched for other potential uses.

How long does a typical HBOT session last?

A typical Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy (HBOT) session lasts about 60 to 90 minutes. The exact duration can vary depending on the condition being treated and the specific protocol recommended by the healthcare provider.

What should I expect during an HBOT session?

During an HBOT session, you’ll change into comfortable clothing and enter a pressurized chamber. As the chamber pressurizes, you may feel your ears pop, similar to being on an airplane. The session lasts 60 to 90 minutes, during which you’ll breathe pure oxygen and relax. Afterward, the chamber is slowly depressurized, and you can resume normal activities. Expect some ear pressure and mild fatigue, but most people feel relaxed.

How many sessions do I need for the best results?

Pre and post-surgery protocol (5 sessions prior, 10 sessions post-surgery).
